Scenes from the day

I visited a family home in Higashi Ward, Nagoya, for a newborn session. We combined carefully styled portraits with the gentle, ordinary moments that belong to the first days of life with a baby.
A little sunflower scene
For the styled part of the session, the baby rested among bright flowers in a sunflower-inspired setting. The colors made the portrait cheerful while the baby remained the clear focus. Every setup was adjusted around the baby’s comfort and pace.
The moments already happening at home
Some of my favorite photographs came between the prepared scenes: a parent feeding the baby, holding them close, and the family resting together. At-home photography lets us preserve the gestures and rooms that will soon become part of the family’s own history.
Styled and natural, in one session
There is no need to choose between an artful newborn portrait and documentary family photographs. By moving slowly and watching the baby’s cues, we can create both without forcing the day into a rigid plan.
Timing can be discussed
Every birth and recovery is different. Rather than treating a particular number of days as a strict deadline, please get in touch when it feels right; we can discuss the baby’s age, health, and the kind of photographs you hope to make.
