Scenes from the day
I photographed a newborn at the family’s home in Meito Ward, Nagoya. Using a beanbag backdrop in purple, black, and beige, we created several distinct looks while keeping the baby at the center of every image.
Three backgrounds, one tiny subject
A white swaddle, a soft pom-pom hat, and a birth announcement plaque gave the first portraits a clean, gentle feeling. Changing the background color altered the mood without needing to move the baby through a complicated set.
Playful outfits and family hands
We also used a light-green dragon romper and a bear bonnet with soft toys. Some of the most meaningful photographs were simpler: the parents supporting the baby from both sides, holding hands, and framing the baby’s feet in a heart shape.
Variety without losing calm
Newborn sessions can include many colors and small props, but the pace is always guided by the baby. By preparing variations in advance, we can create a rich gallery without making the day feel hurried.
